SSWWRR would like to formally introduce Warrior Legacy Foundation.

The Warrior Legacy Foundation is an organization (filing for 501C4 status) that is steadfastly committed to changing the perception of the America’s Warrior Class. WLF passionately defends the dignity of this noble profession regardless of the era of service. Across every generation, at war and at peace, America has asked her citizens to protect liberty and defend freedom at all costs. No matter the terrain or political climate, America’s Warriors have met every challenge, sacrificed everything that was asked in order to defeat their enemies and protect our shared way of life. WLF advocates for the everlastingly preservation of the hallowed legacy of the American Warrior and the limitless support of their success.

SSWWRR believes that with the help and support of WLF the Wounded Warrior Ranch will become a reality for all of our soldiers very soon. We want to thank everyone that has supported SSWWRR thus far. From this point forward, all support of SSWWRR will be made through WLF. We encourage everyone to continue their support of the Wounded Warrior Ranch and look forward to seeing this project come to fruition.

Please visit the website at www.warriorlegacyfoundation.org and view all the exciting programs they have to offer.

Sincerely,

SSWWRR

WLF Program - Warrior Ranch Retreat
WARRIOR RANCH RETREAT
WLF is creating a retreat/camp for returned Warriors and their families. This ranch is designed for the express purpose of providing mental, physical and emotional rehabilitation for soldiers (and families of those) returning from active duty in the US Military.

The site is a 205 acres abundant in wildlife ranging from whitetail/axis deer and fish to wild turkey. The ranch is adjacent to the Frio River, a crystal clear river that runs for over 200 miles. The design of the project consists of 25, fully furnished, 2-bedroom 2-bathroom cabins. All cabins will be equipped for special-needs guests. In addition, there will be a 2500 sq. ft. building accommodating a fully stocked grocery store, office, game room, gym and commercial BBQ pit. The retreat would be capable of housing up to 75 guests at any one time.

This retreat will have many purposes, but primarily it will assist those who are often forgotten but still affected affected by war: the families of our servicemen and women. We will host returned warriors and their families for a program that helps them re-connect both as a family unit and as members of our society. It will also provide a camp for children of veterans who have lost limbs that has counselors who have lost limbs themselves. We will humanize and celebrate their parents’ sacrifice; rather than victimize and pity their injuries.

We all recognize that returning from war is difficult and that support from family, friends, comrades and the society at large is vital for a successful transition. We will offer counseling, both professional and peer to peer, as well as a wealth of programs to allow the returning vets to ease their way out of battle mode. We will have outdoor activities suitable for all including specific programs designed for wounded warriors.

The Legacy of America’s Warriors must be preserved.
