Helping Our Military

We here at Wildcat's Sanctuary and Ranch go the extra mile to help our Military Vets.

Chad, ARMY, has been receiving help from us for various things for over a year now. He comes to live with us until he can find a home of his own so he won't be living on the streets.

Chad has recently been diagnosed as bipolar so finding a place he can afford and do well is very important as he goes through his divorce. Chad is also disabled and lives on very little income.

I have been introducing him to non profits and other agencies to help him find his way. If you can help Chad or know of someone looking for a roommate please email us to let us know how you can help.

We will continue to help our community and our Military Vets.

Real Friends

Subject: Awesome Pictures & Thoughts

A Birth Certificate shows that we were born
A Death Certificate shows that we died
Pictures show that we lived!
Have a seat . Relax . . .
And read this slowly.

I Believe...
That just because two people argue,
It doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue,
It doesn't mean they do love each other.

I Believe...
That we don't have to change friends if
We understand that friends change.

I Believe....
That no matter how good a friend is,
they're going to hurt you every once in a while
and you must forgive them for that.

I Believe...
That true friendship continues to grow,
even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.

I Believe...
That you can do something in an instant
That will give you heartache for life.

I Believe....
That it's taking me a long time
To become the person I want to be.

I Believe...
That you should always leave loved ones with
Loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I Believe....
That you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I Believe....
That we are responsible for what
We do, no matter how we feel.

I Believe...
That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I Believe...
That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs
to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I Believe....
That my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.

I Believe....
That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down
will be the ones to help you get back up.

I Believe...
That sometimes when I'm angry
I have the right to be angry,
But that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I Believe....
That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had
And what you've learned from them and less to do with how many
birthdays you've celebrated.

I Believe....
That it isn't always enough,
to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself..

I Believe...
That no matter how bad your heart is broken
the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I Believe....
That our background and circumstances
may have influenced who we are,
But, we are responsible for who we become.

I Believe...
That you shouldn't be so eager to find
Out a secret. It could change your life Forever.

I Believe....
Two people can look at the exact same
Thing and see something totally different.

I Believe....
That your life can be changed in a matter of
Hours by people who don't even know you.

I Believe...
That even when you think you have no more to give,
When a friend cries out to you -
you will find the strength to help.

I Believe...
That credentials on the wall
do not make you a decent human being.

I Believe...
That the people you care about most in life
are taken from you too soon.

I Believe...
That you should send this to
all of the people that you believe in, I just did.

'The happiest of people don't necessarily
have the best of everything;
They just make the most of everything they have.

Peace

Peace is not the absence of trouble; Peace is the presence of God.

Concentrate on this Sentence

'To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.' When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence...'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.' Something good will happen to you today; something that you have been waiting to hear.

!

There comes a point in your life when you realize:

Who matters,
Who never did,
Who won't anymore...
And who always will.
So, don't worry about people from your past,
There's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.
Give these flowers to everyone you don't want to lose in 2010
Including me, if that's what is in your heart.

Business question/answer

Thank you for the compliment Raulie.

I never take no for an answer. I always find a way to get my brand and message out there.

Blogging over 12 different social networks insures I get a wide following.

I connect with others on Linkedin so I may one day network. Hopefully some of my connections are interested in what I do and will be utilizing my business once it's fully operational.

Right now I also go door to door passing out business cards. My son passes out business cards to anyone walking, parking lots, etc. I saw another business person papering unoccupied cars parked in a parking lot.

I'm ordering inventory and setting up shop at a flea market that has over 50,000 people a weekend.

I'm not discouraged that my friends and family won't help by promoting me or referring me or even using my services. I find others who understand my vision and goals and work with them.

I recently put together a board of advisors, all volunteers, to help me stay focused and reach each goal step by step.

I also volunteer to help fundraise for non profits I believe in and offer to partner with them when fully operational.

I look everywhere for Angel Investor, business partner, SBA loans, USDA grants, bank loans. You name it, I've applied for it.

The first year is the hardest to pick up followers, unless you're a celebrity or networked with strong friendships. I have neither and so must work extra hard.

I wish you all the best Raulie. Let me know if I may be of further assistance.

Overview – getting ready to become well

Twelve men survived the explosions aboard and the sinking of the USS Arizona on December, 7th, 1941. Of the 12 survivors who went on, Earl Nightingale eventually became for the nation, a mentor of reasoning and a modern philosopher and guide on how to move self thoughts and actions towards those goals and results each and every one of us envisions. As a U.S.A. radio and eventually national television personality, Earl helped others engineer hope and innovation in a society fearful of facing war and nuclear annihilation every moment of every day. The lessons Earl gave us are continuing with each new generation and for a moment, I want you to hear and read about what your parents and grand parents listened too that enabled them to cast aside fear and tremors and replace them with hope and strength. “Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.”

Please, visit http://earlnightingale.com.au/military_network/earl-nightingale-inspiration/
Read and research; download, listen and allow yourself to be morphed; there’s magic beyond belief, but no hidden messages and no agenda to sell you anything.

Don’t worry if you’re short of cash or need time to repay – if you can’t pay now, you will in the future, but right now is the most important moment ever; whenever “right now” happens or is. Quit being lonely, hurting, hating your situation and worrying, and really become what you want to be and what all of us need you to be. To those trapped or fearful or failing – get a hold of us now.

Earl’s lessons are the very first steps towards you attaining something you may have only longed for or dreamed about. As any mountaineer will tell you, the small step to the top does not compare to the thousands and thousands of steps before; or the fisherman who’s satisfaction is not in the marlin flag being flown as a boat reaches the harbor, but in that moment when the marlin dove and ran a hundred yards down and you brought it back up; or the warrior who shakes at night, but eases his tremors with the memory of aching muscles and stretched tendons because of the woman, old man or child he covered and carried to safety. Earl’s messages help you build and rebuild a solid foundation upon which you may create the tallest and strongest career and life that you can ever imagine.

Salute! It’s time for you to help you. As a friend recently reminded me of one of Christian’s and Jewish worst sins; don’t be so prideful that you refuse me and others to help you where and when we can. Be confident that beyond the initial steps, we have much – much more that you may use to transition and to move towards whatever you wish to be – and it’s neither a Helping Hand, nor a Good Samaritan’s role we desire. As you return our salute, so too will you return to someone needing help the assistance they require.

FOLLOW THESE 14 SIMPLE TESTS BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO HAVE CHILDREN

FOLLOW THESE 14 SIMPLE TESTS BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO HAVE
CHILDREN

Test 1

Women to prepare for maternity, put on a dressing gown and
stick a beanbag down the front. Leave it there for 9 months.
After 9 months remove 5% of the beans.

Men to prepare for paternity, go to a local chemist, tip
the contents of your wallet onto the counter and tell the
pharmacist to help himself. Then go to the supermarket.
Arrange to have your salary paid directly to their head
office. Go home. Pick up the newspaper and read it for the
last time.

Test 2

Find a couple who are already parents and berate them about
their methods of discipline, lack of patience, appallingly
low tolerance levels and how they have allowed their
children to run wild. Suggest ways in which they might
improve their child's sleeping habits, toilet training, table
manners and overall behavior. Enjoy it. It will be the last
time in your life that you will ha ve all the answers.

Test 3

To discover how the nights will feel

1. Walk around the living room from 5pm to 10pm carrying a
wet bag weighing approximately 4 - 6kg, with a radio turned
to static (or some other obnoxious sound) playing loudly.

2. At 10pm, put the bag down, set the alarm for midnight and
go to sleep.

3. Get up at 12pm and walk the bag around the living room
until 1am.

4.Set the alarm for 3am.

5. As you can't get back to sleep, get up at 2am and make a
cup of tea.

6.Go to bed at 2.45am.

7. Get up again at 3am when the alarm goes off.

8. Sing songs in the dark until 4am.

9. Put the alarm on for 5am. Get up when it goes off.

10. Make breakfast. Keep this up for 5 years.

LOOK CHEERFUL.

Test 4

Dressing small children is not as easy as it seems

1. Buy a live octopus and a string bag.

2. Attempt to put the octopus into the string bag so that no
arms hang o ut.

3. Time allowed for this 5 minutes.

Test 5

Forget the BMW and buy a practical 5 door wagon. And don't
think that you can leave it out on the driveway spotless and
shining. Family cars don't look like that.

1. Buy a chocolate ice cream cone and put it in the glove
compartment.

2. Leave it there.

3. Get a coin. Insert it into the cd player.

4. Take a box of chocolate biscuits; mash them into the back
seat.

5. Run a garden rake along both sides of the car.

Test 6

Get ready to go out

1. Wait

2. Go out the front door

3. Come back in again

4. Go out

5. Come back in again

6. Go out again

7. Walk down the front path

8. Walk back up it

9. Walk down it again

10. Walk very slowly down the road for five minutes.

11. Stop, inspect minutely and ask at least 6 questions
about every piece of used chewing gum, dirty tissue and dead
insect al ong the way.

12. Retrace your steps

13. Scream that you have had as much as you can stand until
the neighbours come out and stare at you.

14. Give up and go back into the house.

15. You are now just about ready to try taking a small child
for a walk.

Test 7

Repeat everything you say at least 5 times.

Test 8

Go to the local supermarket. Take with you the nearest thing
you can find, to a pre-school child. A full-grown goat is
excellent. If you intend to have more than one child, take
more than one goat. Buy your weeks groceries without letting
the goat(s) out of your sight. Pay for everything the goat
eats or destroys. Until you can easily accomplish this, do
not even contemplate having children.

Test 9

1. Hollow out a melon

2. Make a small hole in the side

3. Suspend the melon from the ceiling and swing it side to
side

4. Now get a bowl of soggy cornflakes and attempt to spoon
them into the swaying melon while pretending to be an
aeroplane.

5. Continue until half the cornflakes are gone.

6. Tip the rest into your lap, making sure that a lot of it
falls on the floor.

7. You are now ready to feed a 12-month old child.

Test 10

Learn the names of every character from the Wiggles, Thomas
the Tank Engine and Disney. Watch nothing else on television
for at least 5 years.

Test 11

Can you stand the mess children make? To find out

1. Smear peanut butter onto the sofa and jam onto the
curtains

2. Hide a fish behind the stereo and leave it there all
summer.

- occasional cresce ndo to the level of a supersonic jet if
required.

Play this tape in your car, everywhere you go for the next 4
years.

You are now ready to take a long trip with a toddler.

Test 13

Start talking to an adult of your choice. Have someone else
continually tug on your shirt hem or shirt sleeve while
playing the Mummy tape listed above.

You are now ready to have a conversation with an adult while
there's a child in the room.

Test 14

Put on your finest work attire. Pick a day on which you have
an important meeting. Now

1. Take a cup of cream and add 1 cup of lemon juice

2. Stir

3. Dump half of it on your shirt

4. Saturate a towel with the other half of the mixture

5. Attempt to clean your shirt with the same saturated towel

Character is what counts - General Leroy Sisco and Governor Rick Perry

Character is what counts - General Leroy Sisco and Governor Rick Perry
I got a letter from a friend of mine Gen Leroy Sisco a few days ago and once again I was touched at how a man like the General can be so grounded as to remember me when it comes to things like this. I have known the General for almost four years we were introduced at a small group prayer meeting down in a office he was sharing in San Antonio. This was when Military Warriors Support Foundation was in it’s early days and I was delighted to meet a Retired General that not only cared about the soldiers but truly cared about the Lord. I was just getting my feet wet when it came to working with the troops and I was hoping he be able to show me how I could be usefully in being involved with programs that were really doing things and making things happen on a big scale.
Leroy knew little about me, really just what he saw and heard that day. And probable some references from the people with advocacy group that shared his office but he gave me opportunities that winter that were like manna from heaven. One of which was to use my dragster to promote a Clay Walker Concert to honor the wounded soldiers and meet Governor Rick Perry in the process. I was so excited to have my Interstate Batteries Dragster out at the AT&T center that evening and with so much excitement I almost missed meeting the Governor and I did miss most the concert but not the part where Gov Perry and Gen Sisco were able to honor each one of the wounded soldiers in front of a hugely enthusiastic crowd. I got to talk to a few of those soldiers but mainly I remember talking to their wives. The pride and the joy they expressed was not so much about the attention they received that day but more at the healing that was happening at the heart level for both the soldiers and their families. The great losses experienced by these young men were not insignificant to the System (military/gov) they were in fact important enough for everyone to stop and take notice and say thanks.
Leroy taught me that the real healing for these soldiers didn’t come with the VIP treatment , or gift that they received. It was because of the importance of everything stopping and someone taking time to say “ I know what you have sacrificed, it has been seen and noted, and for that I want to know that I and many others appreciate you”. The fact that it was Governor Rick Perry , Retired General Leroy Sisco and Clay Walker doing the honors was of course a magnifier in the whole event but out in the crowd were many other soldiers their as guests (900 or so) and the pride spread to them as well.
Ok with that all said, What’s my point. Well that is when I saw how this healing stuff works. That day those soldiers were healed or fixed, they had a long way to go. Not just the physical wounds but also the wounds in their marriages, their lives, their relations with God and many other areas but this was a day of hope. Because if men of this importance thought it important to stop everything and do this for them and quieting the voices that were saying “give it up, your broke and no longer whole” That gesture of thanks was enough to quieted things enough to let God’s healing love it and begin the process of rebuilding.
Now doing an event like this get lots of exposure, it’s easy it too look good because you support the troops etc. Any cynic can see that. But I saw Gov Rick Perry’s name show up time and time again on both events and fundraisers with Leroy. Many times these events barely made the local media if at all but if he knew his name would lend to an event he was there.
I truly believe it is not what a man does when the world is watching that matters, is what he does when he thinks no one is looking that tell you of his character,( Quote-Author unknown) and I can say that Gen Sisco and Gov. Rick Perry are both men of character. Technically I have met Gov Perryquick pic or quick hi. Most the time at the events I was usually busy doing things with my dragster, talking with soldiers and families and by the time I am done with those things the window has closed but I have seen the impact of his genuine actions and that is why I want to share a slice of this man’s character.

Subject: Hero

Tina,
I thought you would like to read this... This confirms what we know. I called Rick and told him about this guy and he called him immediately.

Leroy

Haskell…
It is an uncommon word and a more uncommon name. It‘s my dad’s first name. Why? I asked my grandmother that question. “I heard it one day, and I just liked it. So that’s what we named him.” Pops has been called Hershoel, Hashmill, and a thousand other twisted versions over the years. When Peter was born, he was named for this two grandfathers. Peter Haskell Burks. The day after Peter was killed, I was sitting at the dining room, just trying to make sense of all that was going on. My cell phone rang. “Unknown” said the caller ID. Thought about letting it pass, but I answered it. “Alan, this is Rick Perry.” Rick Perry was and is the Governor of Texas. I had never met him, never made contribution, never knew anything about him. Governor Perry, or Rick as he insisted, talked to me for 35 minutes that day. He is the Governor of a state of 25 million people. But he talked to me that as one father to another. He wanted to know about Pete, his family, his time at Texas A&M, his fiancée. There are over 400 Gold Star Families in Texas from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. I don’t know for sure, but I suspect Governor Perry has talked to them all.
I was invited to a fundraiser tonight for Governor Perry. He is in a competitive primary facing Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison. I’m not real politically active, but I went because I wanted to meet Rick Perry and thank him for that phone call. The function was at a mansion in Highland Park. There were a least 400 people there. I got in the greeting line. When it was my turn, I put out my hand. “Governor we’ve not met personally, but we have talked before. You called me the day after my son was killed in Iraq.” “Alan it so good to meet you. Pete’s middle name is Haskell; named after his grandfather. Thank you for coming tonight.” With a greeting line of hundreds of young Republicans eager to shake his hand and have a photo taken, he took me by the arm and we walked to a far corner of the room. I could see the security guy and his aides eye open wide. We talked for about ten minutes. He expressed his appreciation for Peter’s sacrifice. He was aware of the Unsung Hero Fund and our shipments to soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. He wanted to know how everyone was doing. As we ended the chat, I noticed a tear in his eye. “Alan, I want you to know you and your family have been and will be in my prayers.” He went back to the greeting line and gripping and grinning. He didn’t have to call me that day. He didn’t have to spend the time with me he did tonight. But he did. That says something to me about the character of the man.
I’m sure that Kay Bailey Hutchison is a fine person. But I do know that when I wet to Washington, D.C. last year, she was the only Texan in Congress that didn ‘t meet with me personally. And for whatever reason, her letter of condolence about Peter arrived almost a year after his death. I don’t know Rick Perry from sic em. But I do know he took time out of his life to console me and to express his interest and concern for my family. Interestingly, Rick Perry was born and raised in Haskell, Texas.

Changes to Marcus Luttrell Ranch

Changes to Marcus Luttrell Ranch‏
From: jim.hanson@warriorlegacyfoundation.org

To: wildcatranch@hotmail.com

Washington DC 08 February 2010

Recently the Board of Directors at the Warrior Legacy Foundation was informed by Marcus Luttrell's business management that they no longer wanted Marcus’ name attached to WLF’s for the "Marcus Luttrell Warrior Legacy Ranch” project.

"Regardless of whose name is attached to the project, Marcus Luttrell will have a world class ranch retreat and we are very proud to have been partnered with him,” said Warrior Legacy Foundation Executive Director David Bellavia. He continued, "At this time we will no longer be sharing a title with Marcus Luttrell on his ranch, we will no longer have any fiduciary responsibility regarding the ranch and WLF will NOT offer a competing ranch product.”

Warrior Legacy Foundation’s Chairman Matt Burden went on to say, "There is far more work out there to be accomplished and even more opportunity for the skill set of this great organization. It is my sincerest desire that Marcus’ ranch not only build a top notch facility, but I envision it to be as unique and special as its namesake.”

All funds donated to: to WLF’s "Marcus Luttrell Warrior Legacy Ranch” up until the account is closed on March 1, 2010, will be sent to the management team of Marcus Luttrell for the explicit purpose of his ranch.

WLF deeply regrets not having had the opportunity to see this project meet its full potential. Stay tuned for continued status reports of the project and where future support can be given to Marcus. Please reach out to info@warriorlegacyfoundation.org with any questions regarding this format change.

Wildcat's Sanctuary and Ranch will be selling products and asking for donations at a Flea Market in Sanford, FL. Over 50,000 people come visit and buy things every weekend there. This is a great opportunity to meet the owner and look at informational brochures. This allows us to collect the much needed funds to neuter the foster babies and help feed and pamper them. It also allows us to collect money for the ranch to be built. A fun time will be had by all. I will get back with the exact dates to begin expecting to see us. I can tell you it will be every Fri-Sun 9 AM-6 PM. We will have selection of inventory there from: CAPS, T-SHIRTS, MAGNETS, PINS, DOGGIE CLOTHES, RECYCLABLE BOOK BAGS, CUPS, THANK YOU NOTES, KEY CHAINS, BUMPER STICKERS, MOUSE PADS, INK PENS, AND MUCH MORE.
